Komorebi

Created for Dulux, as a second year University project, I was tasked with creating an eatery, which uses their Colour of the Year 2024 'Sweet Embrace', on at least 50% of the surfaces.

Komorebi, translating into 'sun filtering through the leaves of a tree', is inspired by Japanese Zen philosophy and practises. One of the main features, is the custom, interactive outdoor zen garden, which could be viewed from within the main space, or the individual 'engawas' placed outside.

With this cafe, I wanted to create a space where office workers would be able to find a place of refuge, within their busy and stressful lives.
